Dutoit Agri Receives Heed the Call Award for Inaugural Consumer Campaign
Dutoit Agri is honoured to receive the prestigious Heed the Call award for its first co-branded apple campaign. The award, which is given to suppliers who go above and beyond, aims to recognise exceptional work in the FMCG sector.
“This is such an incredible achievement for us,” says Dutoit Agri Marketing Director Gysbert du Toit. “Especially considering it was our first time showcasing the Dutoit brand to consumers.”
Together with Pick’nPay, the cobranded campaign included informative branding in 50 stores, educational leaflets included in every bag, showcasing the apple origin story, and an increased presence on social media.
“Our focus is on awareness and education – we want consumers to pick the apple that best suits their needs,” says Gysbert.
The #pickdutoit campaign focused on the five key varietals – Top Red, Golden Delicious, Royal Gala and Granny Smith. It has also received praise beyond South Africa – with notes of thanks coming from Botswana for providing consumers with educational and interesting information that made produce purchasing easier.
